Ai Ai Farm is an agricultural production corporation, located in an elementary school which has been closed down in Nakijin.
It was a warm a 20C degree warm Saturday in Okinawa and we took a drive to the north.
It was a very good open space. They have some organic garden going on. They have huge farming field elsewhere with less or no agrochemicals. This facility is for the restaurant, lodging, shops and workshops of their handmade products.
Goats, like any other Okinawa farmers and families. Goats are very essential for traditional Okinawa family gatherings. I don’t think goats are for their products.

It’s a buffet style with a main dish of your choice.
The buffet includes salad, cooked veggies, bread, rice, and miso soup.
All dressings are housemade. I tried Tankan Citrus and Yuyu tried Carrot. They were good.
The housemade bread by natural fermentation. Several housemade jams available on the side too.
Fresh Tofu. Housemade daily.
They were all good. Nothing fancy. Straight forward simple cooking that doesn’t “kill” the fresh veggies.
Tofu was nice. So was the roasted onions.
Miso soup was very good. They make their miso too. This miso goes right into our shopping list.
They had 2 kinds of rice. Brown unpolished rice and Black rice blend. They were both very good too.
Yes, we like it.

Tandoori chicken grill. Marinated in Yogurt and spices, it was very tender and tasty.

Tofu cutlet was good, but the sauce was a bit too salty for us.

We took a walk around the school yard. It was very nice.
We found this magnificent tree in the back of the building.
Later, I checked up on it and found that it is Floss Silk Tree. Also known as Drunken Tree because the trunk looks like a beer belly.
