We were on the way back from the airport, and we came to this chinese restaurant in Naha for the first time in a while. It’s near Ryubo in downtown, next to Kariyushi hotel.
Yang Kyou Fangs is one of the best Chinese restaurants in Okinawa, including red hot Sichuan cuisine dishes.
There is the 2nd floor too with a lot of tables. Still, they are very popular, and it’s safe to make your reservation on weekends.
This is the appetizer menu.
On Monday and Tuesday, everything on this menu is JPY500!!
(Unless it’s holiday)
Braised oysters with Sake. Very tasty. There were 7 or 8 pretty big pieces.
This is definitely a great deal for one coin.
From the 500 yen menu, coriander salad.
Lots of corianders and pressed tofu in japanese pepper oil.
Coriander is a very popular herb around the world, but it’s a very risky ingredient for restaurants in Japan. Many Japanese people despise it, some adore it. That is why there are very few corianders on the restaurant tables in Japan.
Of course, we love food of strong characters, and we love coriander. Especially YuYu. Her wedding bouquet was 100% made of corianders.
Boiled pork ribs and cucumber with sweet garlic soy sauce.
The quality of meat is not so exciting, but the seasoning is very moderate and tasty. Star Anise was doing a good job.
Grilled pork. Beautifully seasoned and done. Marinated for long hours, and grilled slowly.
This is tagged for JPY880. Must have for one coin on Monday or Tuesday!!
This is not on 500 yen menu, but it’s JPY480. 6 pieces of fat boiled dumplings.
Sooo goood!!!
Very springy and tasty. The black vinegar sauce is a good touch too.
High-heat fried, spicy garlic prawns. One of their specials. JPY1220.
Savoy smell of crispy shrimps. Accompanied by corianders with the attitude again.
Enjoy the taste, texture and aroma. A multi-dimensional entertainment.
Beef fried noodle.
Wonton noodle in clear chicken soup.
There is counter space. It’s very easy to drop in when you are solo too.
Remember, Monday and Tuesday for one-coin appetizers.
