Taiyo Steak House is an American restaurant in the golf course operated by American military.
The restaurant is open to the public, but it is really like being in America. Once you enter the building, it feels America, it looks America, and it smells America. Really.
They got a really BIG menu.
This was a lunch. I’m sure they have much bigger menu for dinner…
My son was visiting. He has strong passion for American culture like I used to have 30 years ago. So we are here for American burgers!
The place is spacious, bright, and fancy.
Free soft drinks if you order any of the lunch menu. That’s very generous.
Haven’t seen these things for a while personally. But just can’t go for an American burger without them, can you???

Taiyo Signature Burger, USD9.00. 230g of beef patty, ham, swiss cheese, grilled mushrooms, sauteed onions… I chose mashed potatoes on the side.

They minced beef that they use for sirloin steak. The patty was thick, juicy, and OMG, soooooo tasty. Okinawa has some local good burgers but you can’t beat this one. This is America at its excellency.
I’ve been here several years ago. Had a burger that time too. But it didn’t strike me as much somehow. Maybe the chef is different. Maybe it was just timings. Maybe I’m different. I don’t know. But I can recommend this burger to anyone. The topping can be anything. you can count on this patty.
The price includes a choice of fries, mashed potatoes, or salad. Includes soft drinks and free refill. And it’s USD9.00. No tax will be applied either. This is a very good deal!
By the way, they accept Japanese yen, American dollars, and credit cards. You can pay by Yen but the change will be in dollars.
