On the backstreet near the Makishi public market in Naha is Nuji Bonbon Kushi.
Nuji Bonbon Kushi is the second location of a very popular restaurant in Naha, called Nuji Bonbon Z.
This second restaurant features their signature Black Curry Rice and skewered fries.
The interior isn’t really presented in integrity, just like the first restaurant. But we know the food is a real thing.
Yuyu ordered the breaded fried meat loaf. It’s a sure thing.
The meat loaf is Japanese beef and pork mix and it’s got lots of flavor and lots of juice inside.
Yes, yes. yes. We know it’s good.
It’s sure the Nuji Bonbon, all right. JPY880 for a lunch plate.
And here comes my black curry rice.
3 skewered fries of your choice come with the plate of JPY900. A very good deal.
I added 4 more skewers. JPY80 to JPY300 a piece.
Curry is rich and spicy. Not necessarily hot. Just rich flavors of spices.
Delicious.
You can add hot spice up to 10 grades.
They serve the dipping sauce to go with it. Very crispy. Nicely done.
The sign says, “don’t dunk twice”.
Customers share this dipping sauce. You are not supposed to dunk twice after your bite. That’s the rule for any skewered fries in Japan.
Applause to the chef.
