This coffee was a wonderful surprise for me.
I know a few coffee places in Okinawa I like. But basically I’ve given up to just bump into a good coffee in Okinawa. There is a guy in Onna village who I always buy my coffee beans from. He roasts with firewoods organic coffee beans. I think his coffee is the best I can get on the island so I always carry around my coffee, and I don’t expect much from outside coffee.
So when I bumped into this place today, it was a big WOW!
Located in one of the most popular shopping malls in Okinawa, American Village in Chatan. And the coffee shop was located right on the ocean.
What is this place? This place is filled with creative energy!
And the coffee is superb. I tried Americano today. Rich aroma from full-body espresso. Very clean and chocolate like aftertaste.
And I forgot to take a picture of the coffee!!!
I’ll come back for that. It was JPY450
This is the owner.
He has been a sushi chef in Tsukiji Tokyo for 8 years!
Now that figures.
Why there’s good coffee and stylish space here?
Precision work and creative mind.
Yuyu is happy here too.
She’s a friend of the wife of this shop owner. And this lady makes beautiful candles.
She puts in local flowers, corals, sea-shells, and just so beautiful.
You may not be able to lit the candle, but these can be ideal gifts.
A part of the sale goes to donation for Kumi no Sato, a Kume island (Okinawa) retreat center for Fukushima kids.
Blue Moon Jill Candles are available in this coffee shop.
